
On 13 - 15 April BalBok Engineering AD together with BAMEE organized information and training seminar "Management of waste" for the environmental experts from the municipal administrations at the "Center for development of ecological infrastructure-CCL", Stara Zagora.
Among the participants were representatives of municipalities (ecologists, deputy mayors, employees of municipal enterprises and operators of landfills), MOEW (experts from the "Waste Management and Soil Protection") and EMEPA and BalBok Engineering.
The seminar was opened by Dr. Lilia Jeliazkova, Executive Director of BalBok Engineering AD.
Some of the important topics in the seminar programme were related to the MOEW as competent authority in terms of responsibilities and activities with waste in Bulgaria, training opportunities for municipal ecologists at the Center for Vocational Training of CDEI, presentation of the project "Eco-innovative system for management of waste with unknown composition and origin in Bulgaria”, presentation of the Bulgarian-Swiss program, waste management, incl. hazardous in Norway.
The seminar topics sparked keen interest and lively discussions by attendees.
The program included a presentation of the Central Chemical Laboratory realized under project "Eco-innovative system for management of waste with unknown composition and origin in Bulgaria" by Nina Georgieva, Head of CCL.
On the last day of the seminar the participants received certificates from the Centre for Professional Training, presented by Dr. Lilia Jeliazkova, Executive Director of BalBok Engineering AD.
The seminar is within the Project 2015/104949 "Eco-innovative system for management of waste with unknown composition and origin in Bulgaria", supported by a grant from Norway through the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014, in the frame of Programme Area BG 10 – Green Industry Innovation.
